Experience the unspoiled nature of northwest Slovenia in the refreshing pools and rapids of our mountain beauty and the Soca River. Enhance the taste of alpine freshness in the Julian Alps in six days through adventure activities canyoning, rafting, climbing, hiking and socializing in amazing areas. During the camp we will discover some of the highlight places in Slovenia, such as Bled, Bovec, Bohinj and Kranjska Gora. Camp is an unforgettable action in the middle of untouched nature. Slovenia is a country where you can drink water from many rivers and people are aware that nature has to be protected. It is known as a green country. Adventure camp is a total knockout into the wild.
Camp is placed in the Korita Camp in the Trenta Valley just five meters from the Soča River. We are sleeping in tents on the open area under the stars.
Bovec outdoor camp (6 days) – PROGRAM
Itinerary at a glance:
Day 1: Arrive in Bovec and Camp Korita area, afternoon mountain biking to Lepena Valley and to hut Dom Klementa Juga.
Day 2: Canyoning in Sušec Canyon, afternoon climbing in Trenta area.
Day 3: Hiking Mountain Mojstrovka, afternoon barbecue picnic.
Day 4: Emerald trip into the hearth of the Julian Alps with rafting on Soča River and discovering Bled, Bohinj and other attractions of Slovenia.
Day 5: Canyoninig in Fratarica Canyon, afternoon custom activities (climbing, cycling, snorkling in Korita Soče,…).
Day 6: Departure
Activities: cycling trip in Triglav National Park, canyoning in Sušec and Fratarica canyon, hiking in Julian Alps on Mt. Mojstrovka (2332 meters), rafting on famous emerald Soča River, climbing in Trenta climbing area, party, socializing and hanging around with adventure people and meeting new friends plus barbecue picnic.
DAY 1
Transfer from Ljubljana Airport to Korita Camp. Welcome drink and Traditional Slovenian lunch. Socializing, introducing the camp program and in the afternoon, cycling to Lepena valley and to the Klementa Juga Hut (2-3 hours of cycling in the Triglav National Park). In the evening, a welcome party, dinner and lectures about Slovenia and Julian Alps.
DAY 2
Active day with canyoning in the morning and sport climbing in the afternoon. After breakfast canyoning in Sušec Canyon (nice, long slides and jumps in to deep pools). After one of the most fun canyons in Slovenia – the Sušec Canyon, we will go sport climbing in amazing Trenta climbing area in the afternoon. Climbing area Trenta is a magic flat area of grass where giant’s boulders (20 meter high rocks) are placed like a work of god. In the evening we will go to Bovec and get to know the night life there.
DAY 3
Hiking in the morning on Mt. Mojstrovka (2332 meters) in the Jualin Alps. There are two options to hike Mt. Mojstrovka, easier and harder (via ferata) and we will divide in two groups. From Mojstrovka Mountain you can see the face of a lost girl and discover the legend about Zlatorog chamois. We will have lunch in the local traditional mountain hut. In the afternoon, we will have some time to relax, sit by the gorges of Soča and have a picnic party in the evening in which everyone will participate. Have you ever made a pancake?
DAY 4
Emerald trip. Enhance the taste of alpine freshness in the Julian Alps. Re-experience the Soca (Emerald River) front of the authentic scene of Hemingway’s Farewell to Arms. And wish a happy descent to a rafter on the wild river. Places you’ll see: Bled, Bohinj Lake, Bovec, Kranjska gora, Planica, Vrsic Mountain pass (1611 m), Trenta Valley, Kobarid…… and you’ll see more: waterfalls, rifts, mountains and other undiscovered natural beauties. Unforgettable all day trip with a van, train, boat and on foot. All day of traveling around and in the Triglav National Park with unforgettable moments of sightseeing.
DAY 5
In the morning we will go through one of the best and craziest canyon in Slovenia named Fratarica Canyon. It will take us around four hours to get through all slides, rappels and jumps. The highest rappel on the Parabola Waterfall is 50,00 meters high and you need to take a deep breath to do it. This canyoning is really an unforgettable experience, with special flora and fauna. Water in this canyon is amazing, so clear. After lunch we will have a free afternoon with activities according to the wishes of campers. Some of them will go climbing, mountain biking, some will just relax and enjoy nature of the Trenta Valley. In the evening we will have a final party and barbecue with a slide show of pictures from the past adventure days.
DAY 6
Free morning after breakfast for conclusions of the camp and the last thought: Slovenia is great and like most of our visitors, you will say: “I´ll be back”. Arrival in Ljubljana Airport at 11am and 14pm.

Weather in Slovenia in July is normally stable and sunny, day temperatures between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius. Bovec Camp is placed by river Soča under the mountains of Julian Alps (in Trenta valley) in the camp area Korita. Far from big cities and modern technology.
Everybody who likes nature, outdoor activities and hanging around with people who like adventure activities and nature. Age does not matter.
Difficulty level
It is good to be a basically active person. Previous experiences with activities are not needed and activities are personally adjusted.
Camps include pick-up and drop-off at the Ljubljana International Airport (Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport: http://www.lju-airport.si/eng). On arrival day Tuesday 17.7. at 9am and 12.00 and drop off all campers at Ljubljana Airport on Sunday 12.7. at 11am or at 14pm. By request we pick you up and drop you off also in city Ljubljana and also at some other time at the airport. There are good connections and cheap flights from London Stansted and Paris Charles de Gauelle Airport (EasyJet: http://www.easyjet.com/asp/en/book/index.asp?lang=en) to Ljubljana Airport.
Accommodation

Food
Breakfast will be served between 8.00 – 9.00 in the morning, lunch at 13.00 – 14.00 and dinners between 19.00 and 20.00 in the evening. All vegetarians will receive meat free food. Food in the range from classic European barbecue to traditional Slovenian food will be served.
All the necessary equipment for activities during the camp is provided (equipment for canyoning, rafting, climbing, cycling …). Campers need to bring along:
• Shoes – walking boots with good tread, waterproofed leather for longer walks and sandals or trainers for relaxing
• Socks – thick, made of wool, coolmax
• Jacket – lightweight, wind & waterproof
• Trousers – long ones, carry a second pair of trousers / shorts (summer) or. 2/1 (zip off)
• Shirt or active underwear – good evaporation
• Mid – layer – warm (fleece)
• Warm hat, gloves – wool or fleece
• Sunhat – sun protection
• Swimwear, travel towel
• Sunglasses, sunscreen, lip salve
• Rucksack – light, easy to fold, strong material, adjustable straps, rain cover for the hiking
• First aid kit (tape, plasters, adhesive, insect repellent,..)
• Other – water bottle, toilet paper, strings, pencils, safety pins, pocket knife, refreshing handkerchiefs
• Enough extra clothes for six days
